1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Huskify Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Huskify – Appointment Booking integration within our Shopify application. This policy applies to both Shopify merchants utilizing our services and end-customers who book appointments through our application

2. Google API Data Usage & Disclosures

Our application integrates with Google API Services to automate scheduling confirmations. We explicitly request access to the sensitive scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events to facilitate this integration.

  • Data Accessed: Our application interacts strictly with Google Calendar event data. We only access the data required to insert, modify, or delete the specific booking instances processed through our Shopify store integration. We do not read, collect, or access your unrelated personal calendars, contact lists, or profile data.
  • Data Usage & Purpose: When an end-customer books an item (such as a hair salon appointment) and completes checkout on a Shopify store, our backend uses this access to automatically create and push a corresponding real-time event directly into the customer’s personal Google Calendar. This allows the customer to instantly view, track, and receive automated schedule notifications for their upcoming appointment.
  • What we do NOT do: * We do not read or store your existing personal or business calendar events.
    – We do not use your calendar data for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes.
    – We do not sell, rent, or share any data retrieved from your Google Account with third parties or external entities.

3. Limited Use Compliance

Huskify Booking Calendar’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We only transfer data to third parties if it is strictly necessary to provide or improve the core booking features of the application, and only with your explicit consent.
  • We do not use your Google user data to train artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning models.

4. Data Security & Retention

We prioritize the security of your connection. We use secure, encrypted OAuth tokens to communicate safely with Google APIs. Because we do not pull or save your personal calendar history, there is no retention of your private calendar events on our backend. Our servers only retain a transactional record of the specific events our application created so that we can accurately update or remove them if a customer reschedules or cancels their booking.
